Kumkum (cassava flower) and Okra soup

Recipe

  • Kumkum (cassava flower) and Okra soup


Serves

  • 10 people


Ingredients

  • 2kg kumkum

  • 1kg of flesh fish (mackerel)

  • 2cups of egussi

  • ¼ kg of flesh okra

  • 5 cubes of maggi

  • 1 teaspoon garlic

  • 1 tablespoon


Preparation of kumkum

  • Stand a medium pot in the fire, and put four liters of water and boil it.

  • Put the flower in it and stir it with power so that the flower should not tithe in small path

  • Turn it very well for thirty minutes

  • After the thirty minutes, removed the pot from the fire and remove the fufu with a plate and put it in a dish


Preparation of okra soup

  • Wash the okra, slice it and put it in a dish and pound it and add a small cup of water and mix it with a spoon

  • Slice the fish and wash also ground the garlic and the egussi

  • Stand a put in the fire with one liter of water put the egussi inside with the okra and stir it to mix.

  • When it boil after five minutes, add the spices and fish with everything and allow it for fifteenth minutes.


Extra information

  • It is not vegetarian

  • It is not real spicy

  • It is good for health and medicinal because egussi is very helpful to the body and with the fish
