Turning plantains (Cameroon)

Recipe

  • Turning plantains

Serves

  • 5 people

Ingredients

  • 1kg of green plantains

  • 2 cups of groundnut (peanuts)

  • 3 cubes of vegetables stock (maggi)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic

  • 1 large onion

  • 1 tin tomatoes

  • ¼ liter of red palm oil

  • ¼ kg of dries fish

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 5 liters of water

Preparation

  • Peal the plantains.

  • Wash it with warm water.

  • Put it in a pot and add water and stand it in the fire.

  • After forty minutes, add salt and all the spices with the fish.

  • After thirty minutes, stir it and add oil and let it stay for another ten minutes before you stir it and remove from the fire.
